Catherine and I are attending a luncheon at Church today. Liam will be joining us. I can't wait for my friends to see him. I am hoping that he will be on his best behavior because he continues to be a fussy little guy. This is, I believe, the first luncheon like this and I can't wait to experience not just the luncheon but the time in prayer and worship together.
Last night, Liam smiled at his grandfather. Talk about melting one's heart into pure liquid love. That baby is better than any TV show. While some movie was playing on TV, Druck, Catherine and I fawned over Liam, laughing at his grunts as he stretched, as he focused on Druck's face, and the smile that starts in the corner of Liam's mouth and curls up and then into a full smile.
This morning, a big, more than likely pregnant, bunny was in the yard, checking out areas near the evergreens, most likely seeking a perfect spot to dig her burrow. Even mother bunnies make preparations for their newborns, looking for that perfect place, the perfect home to raise their young. It brings to mind the book, When Elephants Weep, a book that truly outlines the behavior of animals and how they feel about their young and each other. It provides a new respect for the lesser of the earth.
